Christos Karamisaris was originally from Thessaloniki but has been in Paris for thirty years. He has exhibited his watercolors internationally including in the USA for the last 40 years but in Montemarte he does while-you-wait portraits for thirty euros. It is kind of like being a really good jazz musician and busking on the street. Like you are getting paid to practice. But for the person sitting for the portrait you could end up being a valuable work of art one day if his career takes off.
